Minus the Greek subtitles, the dark theatres of Odeon Star City are the best way to forget you ever left home.

The Palmie Bistrot opens at 8am, making it a nice alternative for Ledra Marriott guests who don't want to pay for an expensive hotel breakfast.
Description:
Odeon Star City movie park is a compact, one-stop shop for modern entertainment in Athens offering junk food, bowling, and movies on three manageable levels.
The cinema has ten screens which feature major releases- the majority being Hollywood blockbuster types and a smattering of Greek, international, and independent releases. Over 8,000, wide and cushy seats with raising arm rests for adequate cuddling. The concessions bar serves popcorn in Olympic-sized buckets and a rainbow of candy dispensers lets you choose your own sugar cocktail to accompany your Mythos beer. For those feeling more dutiful to proper digestion, tea and sandwiches are also available, but what fun is that?
For movie listings, buy an English newspaper at any kiosk or go to xpatathens.com, where all of the major theatres and movies are listed in English.
Planet Bowling is just down the escalator while movie tickets are available just next to the entrance of Goody's. Go up the escalator for popcorn, candy and soda and sit until your movie is called - which will be in Greek so you might want to take a trip over to the kid in the Star City uniform and ask if you can get flagged down should you not speak the language.
Three choices for eating, drinking, or just stting, listed from priciest to most affordable: Liquid, Palmie Bistro, and Goody's. Liquid has the coolest atmosphere, hence the high price of cocktails and substandard food. Palmie Bistrot has the largest menu, including one separate for decadent ice cream dishes suitable for sharing amongst a group. Goody's is a popular fast food chain with decent fare and low prices.
