Antigua is a place to take things easy, hit the beaches, sip coconut juice and meet friendly locals. However, there are lots of other fun things to do here. Spend a day on Long Bay Beach, one of the loveliest in Antigua. Here you can have a little of everything. Most importantly, the waters are shallow and crystal blue, with a pretty spot for snorkeling. The beach has a vendors' area with wares like little rag dolls, sarongs, T-shirts and local crafts. You can also rent a wind board, snorkel gear and more.
Or, if you want to party with pirates, check out the Jolly Roger Cruises. This authentic schooner will sail you away to another world, well not technically, but you're sure to have a good time. Swing from the ropes, snorkel a reef or a sunken vessel, or get married (pirate style). If you're a night owl, catch one of their evening excursions where you will be plied with secret rum punch and a hearty dinner.
There's no shortage of fun with Shorty's Glass Bottom Boat. Kind of hokey but loads of fun, Shorty's Glass Bottom Boat takes visitors on cruises to uninhabited Bird Island, with an accompanying, and often locally famous, Calypsonian on board to entertain you. At Bird Island, you'll snorkel and have an authentic West Indian lunch. Antigua is all about beaches, marine excursions and water sports. Your trip wouldn't be the same without indulging in these fun things to do in Antigua.
