Tour traditional Dutch landscape by escaping to the Twiske Nature Reserve, situated between Amsterdam, Zaandam and Purmerend. Walk, rollerblade and bike along the many paths or see the windmill. As one third of the reserve is water, water sports are also extremely popular: sailing, surfing, swimming, diving, canoeing, fishing and more. If you're part of an organization or group, you can reserve an area for a barbeque or other activity. The Twiske also hosts music festivals and children's programs throughout the year. The park is open dawn to dusk.
