A Hammam is a traditional Turkish bath house and this one in Amsterdam is open to women from all backgrounds and cultures. The complex, which is decorated in a typical style using mozaik, offers a number of different rooms each with its own temperature – allowing you to warm up gradually. There is also a Turkish steam room. The different packages allow you step completely into a different world, and include:
Welcome with tea and baklava, a typical Turkish sweet, soaping and scrubbing, mud treatments, relaxation, full body massage, henna treatment, sun bed and an eastern styled dinner.
There are also a number of alternative therapies such as yoga, reflexology, and deep relaxation water treatment available in the Hammam. These are arranged via Argan House, a company located in the same complex. /
The complex is located about 15 minutes from Amsterdam's central station using Tram 3 to the Haarlemmerplein tram stop.
