Known as one of Amsterdam's oldest restaurants, De Silveren Spiegel (The Silver Mirror) is located in a beautiful house dating from 1614. Originally built by Laurens Jansz Spieghel, the mayor of Amsterdam, today the building houses one of Amsterdam's classiest and most historic restaurants.
The menu consists of simple, fresh and classically Dutch ingredients prepared in modern and interesting ways. The building itself retains many of the houses original features, including a fire place with traditional Delft Blue Tiles, while the upstairs bedrooms have been converted into dining rooms.
