You'll have to travel to Puerto Rico to find another eatery as authentic and charming as El Rancho de Anibal. This rustic shack situated in a wooded field doesn't seem like much from afar, but inside this eatery oozes delectable aromas and a taste of genuine Puerto Rican culture. Tasty, inexpensive food is enjoyed with a live soundtrack of traditional Puerto Rican tunes as musicians perform on a stage next to one of the restaurant's open terraces. The only main-dish choice is roasted pork which is slow roasted and flavored with a mixture of salt, pepper, oregano, garlic. Plates are then loaded with a selection of rice, pigeon peas, pasteles, yucca, and morcilla. Open weekends only.
