For the kids, Albuquerque has plenty to do that will excite their parents as well. First and foremost we recommend the Sandia Mountains to your east. You can hike and explore trails in the foothills, or take the world's longest aerial tram to its 10,000-foot-plus peak on a 2.6 mile ride. From art to atoms, dinosaurs to Derringers, Albuquerque's museums are fascinating and kid friendly. The American International Rattlesnake Museum in Old Town is a must stop for snake lovers, and even those who aren't snakes' biggest fans will come away with a new appreciation for these important creatures. When your kids burn out on museums, take them to Cliff's Amusement Park and watch them push the bounds of dizziness.
