Culture in Singapore

Singapore's multi-cultural makeup is what makes it such a fascinating city to explore, and you can easily soak up the local culture by taking a walk around one of the ethnic neighbourhoods such as Little India, Chinatown or the Arab Quarter, or by visiting one of the many varied places of worship.

The Singapore Art Museum boasts the world's largest collection of Southeast Asian art, while the local theatres attract many of the world's biggest touring performances. Try the Marina Bay Sands Theatres for big Broadway-style shows, the Esplanade Theatre for Asian and international theatre and music, and the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall to catch the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and visiting musicians.
