Description:

If you want to get a very clear picture of the story of Greece, this History Museum is a beautiful collection of personal artifacts, moments of glory, portraits of heroes and useful little plaques in between well organized room to move the participant through the evolution of the country. There is a wonderful gift shop and one of the best post card collections in the city for lovers of history, including photographs of the 1896 Olympic Games and paintings of old ships.

The parliament room is still used for special speaker's events and is a pristine example of the refinement Greece was trying to incorporate into her new capital city.
